REVIEW: Human Nature Nourishing Face Toner - Tomato Extract

Posted by Mauve Avenger at 2:29 AM 1 comments

Another Human Nature product to try and review! I’m still in search for my HG(holy grail) toner. Avalon's toner is quite good already. Would love to buy again but I still like to try out new stuff to see if something is better.

I take pictures of the claims and ingredients printed on the bottle so I would not need to type it. Since the bottle is rounder, all of the text can’t be captured. Be grateful that I’ve typed those! Haha!

What it claims:

Hate the sting when you apply your toner? Alcohol-based toners tend to do that… and they even dry up your skin, making it prone to premature aging! Our Nourishing Face Toner is gentle and refreshing, and it gives your skin the nourishment it needs. Packed with tomato extract, it doesn’t just help prevent skin damage cause by free radicals, it preps your skin for what should come next – moisturizing! The end result? Nothing but fresh, soft and breathtakingly smooth skin!

Ingredients:

aqua, glycerin, betaine (sugar beet derived), glyceryl caprylate (coconut oil, palm and glycerine derived), Chamomilla recutita (chamomile) flower/leaf extract, Rosmarinus offinalis (rosemary) extract, Lavandula angustifolia (lavander) extract, Solanum lycopersicum (tomato) extract, fragrance (all natural), menthyl lactate (vegetable derived

Tomatoes are believed to be good for your face because of its lycopene content which is an antioxidant. I’ve read somewhere it’s good for dull skin that’s why I really wanted to try this. On a side note, I truly want to try Yes to Tomatoes brand also! But that’s another story.

This does not contain alcohol, parabens, SLS/SLES, formaldehyde and phthalates.

Packaging:

Simple bottle. Nothing fancy and doesn’t leak and I can see the product left. Expiration is also indicated on the bottle.

Smell:

I can instantly take the herbal smell of the Human Nature Balancing Facial Wash, but this one has to take a while. It smells like fruity vitamin syrup from my childhood which I’m not really fond of. But the smell doesn’t last long so I got used to it eventually.

Performance:

Alcohol-free toners tend to be sticky on the face. This doesn’t do that! I love how it feels on my face! It makes my face fresh and sort of dewy without the stickiness! It is formulated for normal or sensitive skin. Maybe that’s why it feels light on my face. It removes dirt which your facial wash wasn’t able to get rid of without being harsh on your skin. No break outs experienced.

Price:

This cost 99php (100ml) from Shopwise. Fair enough for a natural product. Definitely cheaper than other organic toners I’ve seen on the market... maybe because it’s made locally. You could also buy this from Beauty Bar, Landmark and from their authorized resellers.

Would I buy again and recommend it?

Yes, I would. Aside from the smell, I’d really say it’s an HG material. But I would still want to try their other toners before I could decide on what my staple toner would be. Though it’s for sensitive/normal skin, I think this would do well for all skin types.

Have you tried Human Nature Nourishing Face Toner with Tomato Extract? What other natural/organic toner would you recommend me to try? Please post your suggestions or experiences below!

Meow! =^.^=
